As a result, Ngai and the mountain provide 70% of the nation�s water supply, fed by glaciers and annual storms that eddy around this looming rock island. Pete McBride climbed its false summit with his family when he was 9 years old. Returning in 2012 with a group of climbers, he noticed something frightening.
